The Importance of Scheduling

Schedule it!

So some of my 50 things have come and gone and for about a 2 months now things have been at a standstill.  Both weight and 50 thing wise. The words of my cancer coach came to me on a dreary Sunday afternoon, “Those who get things done, schedule them.”

Ah-Ha Moment

Of course!  The reason I actually made it to the Elvis fest was because I finally booked the flight.  The reason I lost the 15 pounds was because I had a deadline to meet.  The reason I exercised was because I signed up for the Woman to Warrior race.

A Wise man once told me….

I recall my most excellent choir master, Gerald van Wyck, saying to me that he booked as many performances as possible so he was forced to practice.  Otherwise he said he never would.  He also said that a harpsichord sounds like 2 skeletons copulating on a tin roof.  But that’s another story. It just makes too much sense, doesn’t it.  Set a deadline so you have to meet requirements in a timely fashion.  Obviously this is what I must do.  With that in mind I’ve gone ahead and scheduled a few more things, like signing up for the Woman to Warrior again.  I’ve now set a weight goal to achieve by that date.  I plan to lose at least 10 pounds in the next month.

Back on Track

Should be doable, I just have to increase my exercise and throw a few more veg on the plate.  Oh yes, and no second helpings.  Instead of plopping on the couch, I’m going to either head to the gym or give my neighbour, Agent H, a call and join the walking group. I checked out Urbanity’s web site.  I’m not a fashion plate by a long shot but the clothes in this store are so beautiful it will be worth while losing weight just to try them on.  These are unique and once in lifetime kinda clothes.  Ah – another goal. Excellent, back on track.
